PEDAL STEEL GUITAR

The instrument shown in the photograph is a double-neck steel guitar with eight pedals and seven knee levers. (You are viewing it from the back side -- where the player sits.) Each neck has ten strings. The front (or upper) neck is usually tuned to an E9 chromatic tuning and is generally used for country songs, although it is not limited to that genre. The back (or lower) neck is usually tuned to a C6 tuning, giving the player the ability to play a lot of chords and voicing used in jazz and popular music.
The instrument in the photograph was built by GFI Steel Guitars in Mesquite, Texas. This instrument's owner is Mr. Charles Tilley, President of the East Texas Steel Guitar Association, who gave permission for his pedal steel guitar to be shown here. Mr Tilley also owns an Excel pedal steel guitar similar to the one owned by me and shown elsewhere in this website.
By clicking on the two links below, you can hear the two pedal steel guitars being played by their owner, Mr. Tilley

Fender Elvis Costello Jazzmaster

Another artist that joins Fender with his own signature guitar and although there were some rumors in the past months, it was last week when the guitar was officially released, a model, the Fender Elvis Costello Jazzmaster, that I must say that looks really good, that has been based on the guitar once, at least on the 1977, owned by Costello.
The Fender Elvis Costello Jazzmaster features alder body, maple neck, “C” neck profile, rosewood fingerboard, 21 frets, 25.5″ scale length, Vintage Style “Floating” tremolo bridge (with tremolo lock button), 2 special design American vintage Jazzmaster single-coil pickups, 3-way pickup switch (very Gibson style :D), 2 circuit modes, lead and rhythm, that are switched using a 2-position slide, and master volume and tone controls.
This beautiful guitar is only available in walnut finish and comes with deluxe harshell case and the classic strap and cable accessories… being a signature model they could package the guitar… better. The Fender Elvis Costello Jazzmaster is now available and its price is $1,530
Electric guitar

An electric guitar is a type of guitar that uses pickups to convert the vibration of its steel-cored strings into electrical current, which is then amplified. The signal that comes from the guitar is sometimes electronically altered to achieve various tonal effects prior to being fed into an amplifier, which produces the final sound.
The electric guitar was first used injazz and has also long been used in many other popular styles of music, including almost all genres of rock and roll, country music, blues, ambient (or "new-age"), and even contemporary classical music.
